We are excited to embark on what we expect will be a lengthy and permanent Journey. Read Her to Heaven (a cheeky take on the John M. Stahl 1945 noir film, Leave Her to Heaven, an adaptation of the Ben Ames Williams novel of the same name) is our free Journey for all cinema related literature. This includes non-fiction books on film from historians and biographers, screenplays, and original source material adapted for the screen. As we continue on this in-depth Journey, we will feature authors and their work, host guest writers, welcome subscriber submissions highlighting their personal book recommendations, reviews, and much more.
CineJourneys is a wonderful community that advocates for film. We believe that educating ourselves in all facets of cinema is not only critical for thorough appreciation, but also for making us better stewards of these films. Read Her to Heaven strives to spotlight and celebrate those who embark on their own cinematic Journeys, resulting in the printed word where we all benefit from their curiosity and passion for film.
