We are having a great time with Powell & Pressburger, and also SchMAYZee, but the latter became a bit overwhelming with everything else happening here.
We did have a fantastic time during the Point Break Watch Party on our Discord. The Discord has been hopping, with a lot of conversations about Mission Impossible with Final Reckoning hitting theaters. Many of us rewatched the franchise in the weeks and months leading up to the release. We’ll just say that opinions were all over the place, but they were fun discussions. We also talked about Cannes 2025, which just finished today. Congrats to Jafar Panahi and NEON on the coveted Palme d’Or prize. We’ve talked Wes Anderson, had a Friday night Tarantino talk, and last and surely not least, we have spent a lot of time enjoying the lectures from Imogen Sara Smith and celebrating the films of Powell and Pressburger.
