CineJourneys 2025 Membership Guide

Hard to believe it has been almost a year since we soft-launched this project. It feels like almost as long that we launched this website, but it’s only been a few months — since June.

We began over on Substack, and that worked to get us to this website. Many of our initial founding members and annual members are up for renewal. We wouldn’t be where we are without that initial support, and we think you’ll agree that we’ve continued building our vision. If you haven’t seen what we’re building, check out the video below. We have a lot of great stuff coming.

We are also planning the following for 2025 that will be available via memberships.

  • New Journeys: Douglas Sirk (and Fassbinder/Haynes), Christopher Guest, Frankenheimer’s Paranoia Trilogy, A24, Japanese Samurai, French Films, Powell & Pressburger, Preston Sturges
  • New Merch: Deep Focus members get a swag bag which we plan to include stickers, drink holders, bookmarks, and more. Magic Hour/Founding Members will get our shirt of the year, and we are planning on releasing a custom exclusive membership shirt every year. We’ll ask your input with the goal of it being the best possible shirt that we’d want to wear.
  • We will launch a second site — AudioJourneys.com, and the same member benefits that apply here will apply there. Journey concepts will be a little different there, but we’ll begin with some music games, and eventually we plan on a David Bowie: Sound and Vision journey.
  • Online Classes: Please see the demo. These are more for other guides that will join the platform. Jill and Aaron also plan to host classes.
  • Guides: Speaking of new guides, we are bringing on several. We expect some will offer free or discounted access to subscribers. Please watch the video for more details about what they’ll cover.
  • Last but certainly not least is what we’re calling MyJourneys. This will allow members to build their own “Journey Page.” If you’ve participated in a Journey and pressed the “Launch” button, you’ll know what that looks like. It is highly customizable. We have already built a beautiful user interface (again you can see that in the video). We expect that to be used as a social media hub and also a cinephile playground.
  • This is an example of one of Caitlin’s t-shirt illustrations.

You can check out the above shirt here: Won’t You Marry Into this House Today?

We are offering 10% off of the shirt through October with the code WITCHCAT10.

You can check out other plan options here.

As we’ve said several times, and has been our North Star along the way, we “built what we wanted to exist.” We’re still building and we expect to continue building, and giving cinephiles a place to have meaningful interactions about film.
